Eye Candy

No deep thoughts this evening, just eye candy. All I'm going to do tonight is give you a few things to look at. A couple of pics from mine and Carolyn's trip to the AQC in Melbourne that I haven't had a chance to blog yet are up first.

This is one of the quilt tops I made from Judy Hooworth's workshop. The premise of the class is that you can make two quilt tops in two days from the same set of strips, with endless combinations. We are hoping that Judy will teach this class for MO later in the year as it is really fun and informative, plus Judy is such a great teacher! The quilts and technique are in her new book (co-written with Margaret Rolfe), available from Material Obsession of course!

This is one of Judy's many, many quilts using this strip combo that she showed us in class.

This is one of Carolyn's tops coming together.....

And this is one of mine. There's that red and aqua obsession happening right before your eyes.

This is the sample quilt from our class with South African quilter, Odette Tolksdorf.

And this is the quilt I made in class with her.

Last but most certainly not least, Kate has been working on her cotton version of Sue Spargo's Ginger Grove in our Wednesday night class. Many of you may have met Kate recently, as she has started working for us and is now our Girl Friday! We all agree an excellent addition to the MO team, and a talented one as well. She's done her Ginger Grove using Japanese fabrics.

That will have to do you you all I'm afraid, I hope it will keep you all thinking and churning over until my brain clicks back online! Enjoy....... Sarah :)

PS thanks everyone for all your lovely comments and emails about Oscar's quilting, he feels quite the celebrity!
