Edible Anna
How fun is this? Michelle from www.inspired-by-chocolate-and-cake.com bought some of Anna Maria Horner's new range, Garden Party (click here to see it in the shop) from us at the Darling Harbour show. She loved it so much she went home and designed this birthday cake inspired by the fabric.
Isn't that cute? What a great use of patchwork fabric that we hadn't thought of before. And I thought I'd used it for just about everything.
I have been sick in bed today, but I've been kept company by my stack of hand quilting and a of my favourite things. First up my new hedgehog pincushion, which I bought here.
Also some of these.....
Which are fun to look at when your fingers start bleeding because you've quilted holes in the ends. :(
I've also been working hard on the next dolly quilt. There have been a few queries lately about the Dolly program, so I'll answer them here and if anyone wants more info, please let me know!
The Dolly program runs for ten months. You sign up for the first one by paying a $30 deposit, which comes off the last month providing you stay in for ten. Each month you get a kit for a different small quilt in the mail. The quilts range from between $30 - $50 per month, usually around $30.
The kits contain the fabric for the top and the pattern, and sometimes the binding. You are given the option of also purchasing extras each month, such as backing and thread. Each quilt is different fabrics, and different techniques, so that you learn different things and use colours etc that you usually would not.
Here is June's dolly.....
and here's a sneaky at July.
Ooooh! I wonder what it is..... no really, I wonder what it is, I'd better go finish it so I can cut the kits for next week!! Just a little behind this month. See ya! Sarah :)

Can I sign up for the Doll Quilt monthly "club" if I live in the States? And if so, what would the extra charge for shipping be for each month?
Thanks so much! I just love your ideas!
