Hello America!

Hey, guess what? All you girls over in the US of A can now go on to Amazon USA and pre-order the Material Obsession book! It just went up last night, so finally all those of you who have been emailing can ALMOST get your hands on one. Just so you know, they have listed it as being by Sarah Fielke, Kathy Doughty and Kaffe Fassett - we'll have to get on to them about that one, as Kaffe just wrote a foreword for us. 

And now..... drumroll.... I am going to give you a VERY sneaky peek of what the cover will look like. I don't actually know if I am allowed to show you this, but what the hey - I can always take it down later, right? Here goes.....

Do you like it? Pretty different from the Australian version. So that's what you're looking out for in the shops over there, please be advised that the content is the same, it's not the second book, just a different cover for the first one! Have fun.....

Oooh, how exciting! Isn't it odd how publishers change the covers for the different markets? As if we don't love the same things! I loved the post about your son -- it's such a happy exciting time for him. Good luck to him -- and YOU!

I thought the original cover was lovely. I wonder why the reason for the change. The second cover is lovely too by the way. I was getting exciting for a minute thinking you had written a second book.

I see I'm not the only one wondering about the change of cover - maybe the publishers think we'll be lured into buying another one ;-) Not that I would mind - I'd just pass the second one on to a friend to provide her with as much inspiration as I have found in that gorgeous book of yours. If anyone is hesitant about placing an order, just do it - I can truly recommend it!

I picked up your amazing book at my local quilt shop and was SO blown away by all of the beautiful photos in it. I loved how you kind of "staged" your quilts by draping them and then show the whole quilt in another picture. Your photos are an inspiration to me of what I want my quilt pattern covers to look like! Thanks for sharing all of these wonderful quilt patterns with us!
