...can you see the kid for the tree? Yes...at last a tiny break in the routine as we head into three weeks of school holidays. Son number three sleeps with his blades so that he can get up and head out as soon as his eyes open. Son number two is in this group of Aloysians heading off to the Phillipines Immersion Program to build houses in mountains and to learn about the culture of the islands. There has been a lot of excitement in preparation for this trip.
As we drove away from the airport on Saturday I was simply stunned by Noah's absence. When did he get big enough to go off on his own? I am wondering how I'll cope without him around here as he is the "helpful" son. First things first, move into his now vacant bedroom and set up my dusty sewing machine. That was done by the afternoon!
The large scale of the rose is nice and the color fab. One might wonder which idea came first...the blocks or the border. Moira doesn't just do subtle... this is another one of her works in progress.
Sometimes you just have to say scrap quilt in the making. It will be interesting to see which of these two projects gets progressed first. How do we decide what to do next? My list of projects is so long now I am not sure I can ever start again.
Robyn is expecting twins in her family. This is an easy to assemble quilt with great results. This version obviously for the boy! Girly version to come...another great option for using up the stash! And just because I know you are all loving this one by Sheena...its a pastel fizzer scrap quilt!
Megan has finished this which also uses up a lot of scraps. The white looks so crisp in the photo but in the photo or in life this is a beauty.
As long as I am taking samples from all the classes I had to grab this one from Deidre. This is her BEGINNER sampler! How gorgeous does it look?
Here I am with my quilt (the one with the ribbon on it!!!) and my QUILTER banner and my white gloves. What a look! Please note mouth open as per usual and my other quilt with a goofy person as well.
Ding! times up. The boys might be on holidays but I am NOT. Off to work I trot! Keep on keeping on!!! k
