Last week in Sydney or was that a lifetime ago??? Reece talked about how the colour purple happens the least in nature. Well, here in Sisters we are seeing the colour purple everywhere we look!
Even some non local blooms are smiling in purple.
There are quilts everywhere we look. Which makes all of us feel at home.
The first class was Garden Party. There were lots of variations in backgrounds from grey scales to Oregon landscapes. It was fun to see what everyone had in their stash. There was a wide variety of fabrics and lots of fun things started appearing around the room.
We made a huge mess. Carolyn and Liesel helped me on Monday as their class with Bari J didn't start until yesterdauy. It was fun having them in the room as I have to admit I was a bit shy at first. Ah yes, believe it or not...I am shy at heart.
However, as the saying goes, flowers bloom where they are planted and by the end of the day we all had something to show for the efforts.
Jean has an incredible front door and a quilt to match right inside. It was fascinating to meet the other teachers at this event. I am getting whip lash from walking up and down the aisles looking in the other rooms. There are all kinds of talents and all kinds of experiences for all kinds of people and sooner or later my tiny brain is going to explode from overload!
There are images stacking up in the camera so never fear, I'll share more as soon as humanly possible. I have been getting email requests for blog updates but people! Really! I will try. As for my son Sam, last I heard he had turned up at Black Lake Michigan after he and Grace spent a night stranded in Chicago. They marched in a 4th of July parade, went wake boarding and the last he was seen it was in a canoe with three young gals...Hmmm. I think that sounds fun. No more worries there.
Enjoy whatever you are doing! Love to all my family and friends in Australia! (my Amerian accent is back and strong now!!!) Kathy

You sure are having fun aren't you! I'm so jealous.

Ah Kathy sounds like your having a ball and why wouldn't you. It would be hard to leave the country of your birth, and really you have two homes. How conflicted is that? :)
Thanks for telling us your news, I do enjoy it.
