Greetings!
We've had a long year with lots of productivity in our group sessions. Last night at the final Tuesday night class (with only two bottles of bubbly and no silly photos of antics but rather hard work finishing projects like good girls do...) We were pleased to see some of Michelle's work before she started her
Annie's Garden quilt. This quilt was done using the Marti Michell hexagon set and the Candied Hexagons pattern seen in Quilters Companion. It's a great toy for in a Christmas stocking that could help use up some stashed bits and pieces...
This soft and pretty sampler was her first quilt and was hand pieced. Very nice work!
Then today we had another group of over achievers with the following results which speak for themselves in diversity, talent, color and spontaneous creativity. We never know what will happen or what they will have accomplished in a month but it is always fantastic fun to see!
This zig zag beauty was by Cheryl using primarily Bohemian fabrics which are gorgeous to play with!
Cath got this garden of delight from Libby...what a sweet treat!
and she made this little beauty of brights on linen, always a great look...
Libby started this dolly and hand bag collection at the retreat based on the Collaborative Quilting book. It is soooo fun! and while she was at it she did two other Christmas quilts you have seen before and this...
Then my camera battery died, sadly. If a picture is worth a thousand words how do we value a bunch of pictures of quilts?
Challenges for the holidays have been set...days of sun and sitting are nearing... ho ho ho dee ho...kathy
Wow - thanks for sharing. I love them all but the candied hexagon and the garden of delight have really taken my fancy....oohh just more projects added to the already bulging file!

Love all the quilts, but the Candied Hexagons is making me crazy! I absolutely love it!

Please help! I have been attracted by the beautiful Candied Hexagons so bought material and printed out the templates from the link to Quilters Companion. BUT I cannot work out how they fit together. Could someone please send me the instruction before I go mad. We are having renovations done so I cannot access my sewing machines, or my 2 Material Obsession books and I thought this would be ideal to do till my new sewing room is built. I am also a sock knitter but there is a limit.
Thank you in advance,
Gratefully,
Claire

Claire, if you are still looking for help, see my blog post from last week. I'd be happy to share the pattern...
