Cottage Magpie

I just wandered over here from Anna Marias, and I'm so glad I did! I'm loving reading about your down under quilting adventures! It's not Mother's Day yet where I am, but Happy Mother's Day to you. I do have a question--the awesome 9-patch with the triple sashing--is the pattern a reproduction or just the fabric? I love it!

I'm with you Kathy, Mother's Day can be highly over-rated - got stuck into my little African quilt on Friday and nearly rang you to share my excitement thank god I didn't it was 11pm will catch up with you soon miss the Tuesday girls they are doing fantastic work. See you soon!

I love these quilts - the colours are great. I also love the bird design from the blocks you bought off ebay. My Mum used to do a bit of quilting, but she is in to knitting at the moment. I was going to do a post on her crazy patchwork quilt, but have not yet - now I think I shall.

Hi girls
in answer to your question, the pattern for the nine patch is a traditional one as I understand it. It's really just a nine patch sashed apart with three rows of sashing. Also the block with the bird on it is my own design, there will be a pattern for the cushion. The little flower pot blocks are from Ebay. Happy quilting!
