clare bower

I often have a houseful of stray teenagers ,yes you must be flexible to keep up with them , great fun !

Joan Callaway

I definitely want to participate in the BOM, so I will be emailing you. LOVE the top strip start top! Amazing! It was fun to see the layout and thinking process for Laurel's blocks. I like them on point and the stipped sashing is perfect. I have been struggling for an idea for a set of antique pieced basket applique blocks that I rescued from some stained, threadbare muslin and re-appliqued onto a patterned fabric (inspired by Kaffe's use of old quilt blocks in Passionate Patchwork). I think a pieced sashing would be perfect for my blocks and will be trying that out! Thanks for the inspiration!

I'm with Joan, I loved watching the creative process of Laurel's quilt coming is like magic! Thanks once again for sharing!

It is fun to see the outcomes in today's post. Food for much thought with Laurel's blocks. And there is SOOOOO much to look at in Kate's quilt. ::sigh:: I keep looking at it. It's amazing. I hate to say that I'm trying really hard NOT to sign up for the new BOM. :-((((( But trying to think of a way TO sign up for the new BOM. :-)))))))))))) Those will be some fun and amazing blocks, I am certain!

That's going to be another great quilt! Thank you for sharing all the inspiration. I just recieved my copy of your latest book from Amazon, and I'm having trouble tearing myself away from the lovely colourful pages - there are so many new quilts I want to make! I have made one from your first book so far , and there might be more...

Flexibility is definitely the way to go with boys...I often am asked unexpectedly by my 18 yo son to have a "few" mates over ...usually at least 20...thank goodness we have an outside room where they can all crash for the night...understand completely Kathy...but wouldn't have it any other way. Need to get in to MO for one of your new classes, Marcelle
