i love your "treasure project"~
is the pieced border around the floral scene from a pattern or your own design? It's fantastic, especially the dark color palette you've chosen. Can't wait to see more :)

Thanks for the reminder about the Jean Wells' book -- I knew there was another one I wanted to get my hands on. So carried away by the Piece o' Cake book, I nearly forgot! Duly rectified. It is good to have such stimulating projects to turn to when you do get a chance! Yours are amazing -- it would be painful to have to keep one's hands off them for any length of time. Love the skirt!!

OOOOOOH I love that you're getting into art quilting - that book looks very interesting & will give me an excuse to drop in (like I need one). And I'm so pleased that your Rosalie project has seen the light again. Its looking good. While art quilts may not end up looking as technically intricate as the beautiful traditional quilts, they can take a long time to "resolve" into a finished piece.
