Anna

your enthusiasm is contagious! Just got back from Patchwork Europa 2012 and you were all over the place!!!!

Gary's shell quilt is such a fabulous piece! How can anyone think up such a wild combination of lifelike objects, stripes and little center daisies?!?!?! Awesome! Love it!!!

Carola

Oops, forgot to ask: How big are the shell squares?

Ok, I get the green is Morris Code and I see a letter I know... not so sure you have the words correct as I see an O in the second column and there is no o in Peace, patience, or understanding. The rest of my code is rusty..... so what are the white parts of the quilt?????

Amy

The white parts of the quilt are probably inspired by this one:

Gary (or 'our Gary')

Thanks for the positive comments guys and thanks to Kathy for putting my quilts on here.

The shells quilt is my own design, the half square triangles are 2" across and the squares 8" , the stripes are Kaffe's various stripes. The plan was to have the blue, grey and purple stripes all coming out of the blue grey shells and likewise the yellows , browns and ochres come out of the yellow shells, with fussy cut joining squares, which I think is a Brandon Mabley print.

The morse code inspiration originally came from a web tutorial from rOssie's web site (rossieblogspot.com) but wanted to personalise it and the morse code says, ACT LOVE WALK, and the quilt is called Micah (which is in morse in grey on the green backing).

Sorry to rattle on but as Kathy said lots of enthusiasm here! Started quilting 18 months ago and started with Kathy's 'red centre'
