Meanwhile, back at the front...we are preparing lots of new things for the NSW Quilt Show starting Wednesday, 17 June. These are 1mt bolster cushions we had made because...well we wanted them! They are a super size for at the top of the bed or for on the sofa. I've already made 3!
Marg George o-files will have seen this in class (and thanks to one of them) we now have them in stock at MO. Ask for Marg's Star templates and papers in three sizes which are 2", 1" and for the really crazy ones, 3/4" papers. The templates make for easy cutting. We'll have them at the NSW Quilt show on our booth to reveal the mystery!
Speaking of new ways to keep your fingers making your eyes happy how about these shapes?
Make a Bee Line to Material Obsession before they are sold out!
Last but not least, we have three free patterns created for you by Shauna at Leutenegger and me to use with the Trail Blazing range on hand and some easy projects. We can't wait to see what you all do with it as well. We'll have bundles and kits at the show.
Hmmm what else? What???? You want more? We'll have more! I'll be doing my Adding Layers talk about diving into what you like with heart in hands each afternoon. And Wendy Williams will be doing her Handy Hanger phone case Make and Take at 10am. Come along and have a look / listen / chat.
Oh and just a bit of heads up warning... The MO posse is heading out of town in a few weeks. We'll be heading to Seattle and looking for Quilty places to go!!! Any suggestions? Then we go to Ferndale with Running With Scissors before going to Mt Vernon to Calico Creations and a trunk show with Fabric-etc... Busy couple of weeks. Hope to meet lots of new quilters!
After that we head to workshops at The Broadway in Sonoma and The Cotton Patch. Can't wait to get a wedge on in all these new places!!!
Off to rest the mind.... See you soon!
Seattle! Definitely go to Drygoods Design. The owner Keli has done such a great job with her shop - it's lovely. http://drygoodsdesignonline.com/
And if you want a field trip, Tolt isn't quilty (it's yarny) but it's another really great shop.

Hooray! You're heading to Seattle! I work at Pacific Fabrics & Crafts/Bremerton, WA (http://www.pacificfabrics.com) so I've got to put in a plug to visit us! Another favorite is The Quilted Strait in Port Gamble/Poulsbo.

Now trying to work out how to juggle my way to the Quilt Show! A quick question, the magpie design on the bolster in the top picture is from ...?

When I visit (several times a year), I always head to Undercover Quilts in Pike's Market downtown. Tiny little shop with a nice selection and great patterns. Also, Martingale Publishers gives tours on Monday and Wednesday and you end in a "Hurt" room where books are 7.00.
